Teacher Credentialing Programs

An advantage of pursuing your credential at CGU is that y'all volition earn a MA in Education along with a California Preliminary Multiple-Subject, Single-Subject area (math*, science, social studies, English language, globe languages), or Special Education (Mild/Moderate Back up Needs or Extensive Support Needs) Credential. A Multiple-Field of study/Special Education Dual Credential is also available.

  The Middle for Writing & Rhetoric is committed to making writing and writing instruction an integral part of graduate didactics.   The Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) program offers workshops, pedagogy clinics, and private consulting on all aspects of the teaching and learning process, including the development of a teaching philosophy argument, syllabi, and educational activity portfolio. Through its workshops, practicum, and portfolio development, students planning to enter teaching careers are able to earn the programme's Professional Development Certificate in College Teaching.

  Libraries

  The Honnold/Mudd Library houses the main library collections for The Claremont Colleges. The collections include nearly 2 million volumes and extensive holdings of journals, magazines, and newspapers. Students also have access to several nearby affiliated libraries: Denison Library, located on the Scripps Higher campus; the botanical and horticultural library of the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden; and the library at the Claremont School of Theology.

  The library regularly conducts inquiry workshops and provides reservable, graduate-merely study spaces and lockers to shop study materials. The library provides admission to class readings for all courses across the colleges.
