Coming back to WoW, need suggestions with servers

    Hello all,

After a long hiatus from WoW I decided to come up back to the game. I'thousand Brotherhood and I've most of my characters on Darkspear (US), which had a healthy population back when I left at the beginning of WoD. Are things notwithstanding the same at that place or should I transfer somewhere else?

    Thanks.

From what I sympathize, Blizzard is about to practise some more server mergers in the near future. Then realm population probably should be fine, if not now then later on.
    US - Eitrigg - <Bank Space is Magic>

Delupi, Amoora, Jisu, Beahru, Rusa, Yeun, Neralyis, Usii, Razzil, Zaramja, Oshaz, Shawnie, Gearsi (A)

They take never done any server merges, they are just more cross-realm garbage and its a bandaid at all-time.

If youre interested in getting dorsum into game. I propose finding out the spec/grade you want to get back into. I say afflcition. Im partial. Survival if yous want something interesting.

After you effigy that much out. Go look up some Mage Belfry videos, flare-up rotation videos so you can encounter them in activity. And then also... bank check out FinalBoss's class specific videos for the class changes to specific spec to class changes coming in BfA. Don't listen to a word he is saying... but note, merely watch. The just thing he is good for is that he uploads everything on every class. He panders positivity and the real followers of him are aggressively positive. Even when something is obviously BS. Like saying how absurd information technology looks to encounter goofass imps slamming into the ground with no animation. But slakdjs;lahfdskj ! Anyways... research.

the new PVP toggle switch is going to pseudo-ship everyone that has pvp mode on to a shared space/server similar a xrealm case. I'm actually nervous to see how stable it will be. Ever a bad experience when I share an immediately space with someone from oceanic server at the wrong time of day.

I would actually say no. RP-anything is horrible new experiences for new players. God prevent a new thespian doesnt know how to roleplay their class, or pfft roleplay in general. Jumping into RP now is similar blindly walking off a cliff. Maybe you should have jumped out alittle further, maybe everything will work and you get some fun out of it.

    AMD Build: | CPU: FX-9590 OEM 8-Core(four.vii GHz) Black Edition | GPU: STRIX R9 380 2GB(x1) | Ram: 16GB (ii x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Now my living room center piece and open case HTPC.

I admit, I was being sarcastic. Just become play choice your faction and play on the server with the highest pop and all-time faction imbalance in your favor, piece of cake life

ane. Pick high popular server, even servers with bad reputation take more people overall, so you can ever find slap-up people to play with in guild. Before low popular was great for expansion launch, but Legion first days were polish even on big servers.
    2. Check if server have english speaking customs. For example Called-for Legion EU is unofficial "polish" server (and considering at that place is not smoothen WoW client, we have no servers marked every bit polish, but community is big enough to populate at least 1 server) - and many people pick their servers without knowing it and afterward their are literally lost.
    3. If y'all are into RP, pick RP server (duh).

Rest doesn't affair. In iii months in that location won't be any PVE/PVP servers separation.

most stacked server for your faction ever. this game is haemorrhage players and soon your "medium" servers volition be wastelands. don't fall for the meme of "prissy communities servers". that doesn't exist.

ALL servers are depression population correct now (stop of xpac exodus). No one knows how the servers volition play out in BfA since PVP servers are being eliminated.

Holy crap, I logged back in to Darkspear, which had a sizable population a few years ago on the Alliance side, and a quick /who Dalaran or Stormwind and it showed v people at most. This was at like 8am, just yet. I then created an alt in Dalaran (the server, non the WoW place) and did the aforementioned searches and it showed a salubrious 40+ people. I don't know if those two realms are in different fourth dimension zones, but damn.

And so either everyone is transferring to the few high population servers that are left, or people are actually leaving the game for proficient. Only like you said, it could be merely the end of expansion exodus.

I cant trust their toggle feature, I saw how bad sharding acted in Legion. Being in Stormhelm at the free for all pvp site and being sharded away from my society for no reason, or for them to see me and kill me but I never even saw them..

How many of those were from Dalaran or one of its connected realm? Because I tin become into Stormwind on my realm and run into 35 people but 34 of them arent even from my server.

Dalaran is a different time zone since its one of the unofficial south american servers

I think probably both. Anybody saw the writing on the wall in WOD when the game plummeted by over 5 million subs in less than a year, then subs got so low blizzard quit reporting sub numbers for the first fourth dimension in the game's history. People left their dead servers for the handful of servers left that still had any life. But even the "high population" servers are getting pretty dead right now while everyone waits on the next xpac. At least those handful of servers will see a surge of population when BfA launches, followed by another mass dip in subs when many find BfA is not to their liking. I would definitely stick with 1 of the few high population servers though. The residual will be ghost towns for the remainder of WoW'due south life cycle.
